The dashboard
Everything Ward knows about your domains, organized in the sections of the left sidebar. This is what each one is for.
Reading the Overview
Five things to look at, in this order:
- Average Ward Score
- The letter tells you how much attention you need to give it; the change in 30 days tells you the direction. A rise is your fixes; a drop, something new or a date that passed.
- Open problems by severity
- Only critical and high findings set the Ward Score caps. If you see any, start there, whatever the rest looks like.
- Ward Score over time
- A step down means something new appeared or a date passed; a step up means verified fixes. A flat line means nothing changed, not that nothing is wrong.
- Problems by category
- The longest bar is the area with the most problems, not necessarily the most serious one. Check severity before category.
- What to do now
- “Start with these” is already sorted by severity: work from the top. The rest of the block lists what depends on you: planned fixes about to come due, fixes waiting for Ward to verify, and exposed accounts to secure.
Overview
Your starting point: how you're doing and what to do first.
- Average Ward Score of your domains, open problems by severity and the state of your monitored accounts.
- Ward Score over time and open problems over time.
- Problems by category: the longer the bar, the more problems that area has. Click one to see its findings.
- What to do now: “Start with these” (the most serious open findings), upcoming planned fixes, findings pending verification and exposed accounts.
- Upcoming expirations of domains and certificates, how you could be attacked (the most serious combinations of your findings) and recent activity.
Findings
Every problem Ward has found, with tabs by status (open, in progress, planned, pending verification, accepted, false positives, resolved).
- Filter by severity and category, or search by title, domain or reference (W-014). Press / to jump to the search box.
- Related findings (for example, all the vulnerabilities of one product) appear grouped: open the arrow to see them.
- Select several to change their status at once, or export them to CSV.
Assets
Your inventory as seen from the internet: domains, subdomains, addresses and services, certificates, technologies and providers, with an “All” tab.
- Add context to each asset: how critical it is, its environment, who's responsible and notes. Ward uses it to explain things better.
Metrics
How your security is changing: the Ward Score overall and by category, open findings and how long you take to resolve them.
Accounts
Your team's email accounts. Ward watches whether they appear in data breaches or with passwords stolen by malware, and marks each one as exposed, clean or pending.
- Add them one by one or from a CSV. You need a verified domain to add accounts.
Domains
Add domains, verify that they're yours, pause or resume monitoring and run a scan with “Scan now”.
- Each domain has its page with its Ward Score over time, its findings and, if you set it up, its DMARC reports (who sends email as your domain).
- For domains whose registry doesn't publish the expiry date (such as .es), you can enter the renewal date by hand so Ward reminds you.
Alerts
Who receives Ward's emails and which ones.
Activity
The history of changes: what each scan found or resolved and every status change people made. Filter by type, domain or finding reference.
Billing
Your plan (Essential or Professional), billing period and domains, Ward AI quota and Analyzer usage this month and plan changes.
Settings
Your language (the interface and your emails: each person picks their own), your theme on this device, your organization's name and finding references (W-001, W-002…).
Chat
Ward AI's chat, which knows your company's situation and how Ward works. Ask it where to start, what a finding means or how to explain it to your provider.
Analyzer
Upload a suspicious email, paste a link or drop a file and Ward tells you whether it looks like fraud. It reads it inside out, code included, without ever running it or visiting the links. It shows this month's use of your plan.
